Brochure Instructions

These one-page brochures are designed for you hand out to interested customers. We recommend that you print them to a color printer for the best results.

Each brochure has a customizable contact information area, where you can actually enter your information using the computer before you print the brochure, and a price area, where you can enter a price if you wish (or delete and leave blank if you don't want anything there). This gives the brochure a more professional appearance because there are no labels attached.

You might want to print this page so you have a printed copy of these instructions.

HOW TO GET THE BROCHURES: Right-click on the brochure name and choose "Save Target As" from the pop-up menu. Save it to your computer, making sure you put it where you will be able to find it. Do this to each brochure below that you would like to download. (Or, if you are used to clicking on the file and opening it on the web, you will need to click the SAVE button in the upper left of your toolbar to save it to your computer.)

CUSTOMIZE EACH BROCHURE: Go to the location where you saved the brochure, and double-click on the brochure to open it up. It should open in Acrobat Reader, which most computers already have installed. Go to the bottom right of the brochure and you will find a red boxed area with some text instructions. Click in the text, delete it, then type in your own contact information. You have five lines available. Here is a possible layout.

Company Name
Address
City, State, Zip
PH: (000) 000-0000
FAX: (000) 000-0001

ADD PRICING: In the top right, next to the crayon, is a section where you can click and add a price or short marketing note, or simply delete what's there and leave blank. You will always be able to change the customizable sections, even if you delete the text and leave them blank. So you can customize the information depending on your application or need. Here are some possible uses of this section:

PRINT: You will not be able to save your changes because the program used to view the brochure does not allow you to save the changes. Print as many copies of the brochure that you need for a while (a color printer is recommended). Notice that all your customized information prints with the brochure.

Print however many you want at a time. Whenever you need some more prints, open up the file, customize it again, and print as many as you need. The convenience of the one-page brochure is that you can hand the customer single page brochures for the two or three models he is considering. You save a lot of money by not having thousands of printed catalogs lying around (which would quickly become out of date anyway).

ELECTRONIC BROCHURES: Some of you may wish to have the brochure in an electronic version that you can email to a prospective client. In this case, you will not want to use the above brochures since any customization you make does not save with the brochure. I am willing to help create an electronic version of the brochure which has your customizations saved with it. But please plan ahead and allow me enough time to do this for you. You will need to provide me with exactly what you want in each area, so that I don't have to make any of those decisions for you. (Even if you simply print your brochures, you may eventually want me to create the brochures with your contact information saved at the bottom. I can help you with this as well.)
